There are some significant issues for me with the general flow of posts/input from the game that I think are worth rolling together.

  1. No automatic carriage return between new lines of input.
  2. No color difference between dialogue and emote text.
  3. The 'to' command creates output that isn't formatted like IC dialogue but looks like it's being sent over a channel or something. If it just said says to , "dialogue here" it'd be a LOT clearer what is ICly happening when the 'to' command is used.

I'm cheating to roll three things together as I know people may not agree with all three, but to me they go hand-in-hand to make scenes - especially big and fast-paced ones - far more instantly 'legible'.

Thoughts?

Note: I'd be happy to see items 1/2 as configuration options rather than an overall change, as somebody mentioned NOT wanting them, but they're almost necessities for ease of reading IMO.

Agreed on all three! 1 & 3 especially trip me up.

I'd also love the ability to line break within single emotes, assuming this isn't an existing feature. Big fan of being able to throw in longer-form emotes, sometimes, and want to maintain clarity for other readers.
