Contributing to the wiki

Ground rules

The wiki is all out-of-character (OOC). The information you learn here is not automatically known by characters, it is for players to better understand the world and the game.

Just because you read something here does not mean that your character would know that information. You should consider your character's background and story when determining what information about the greater world they would be aware of.

Do not include information here that players would have more fun learning through playing the game.

How to get started

You must request to join the Wiki Editors group: https://agora.underspire.net/g/wiki_editors

By default, new topics in this category are Wiki pages that can be edited by anyone in the wiki_editor group.

Some topics may be locked from normal edits to prevent vandalism. If you think a post should be locked or unlocked please speak with staff. If you would like to make a change to a locked topic please speak with staff.

Organization

This wiki can be searched by tag or you can make index pages to link to other pages.

The primary index page is https://agora.underspire.net/t/wiki-main-index/9 . Changes to the primary index page appear on the left navigation bar when in the Wiki category.

Formatting

Mostly, the formatting on this site is compatible with Markdown.

Surround text with <pre> tags to display it as preformatted text:

Code

Specify "text" as the language to get no syntax highlighting.

Put the language after the backticks for language-specific syntax highlighting

Game commands

Start a code block with ```mux in order to do proper syntax highlighting for game commands.

command/switch argument = "Some value"

(If there are issues with this, notify staff. This is a custom plugin so we can fix it.)

Math

Surround text with dollar signs in order to display it as math:

$5+5=7$

$5+5=7$

Spoilers

You can blur sections of text so that they have to be clicked before they are read.
