The spiritual authority of the whole city, Sepulchre cannot be called a guild like the others. It's the religious heart of the city wearing a guild's seat.
Sepulchre occupies the grand Cathedral in Palatine and holds a permanent seat on the Council of Six. Its patron is Saint Marrow, the Prophet, and ordained clergy carry the surname particle eir. Sepulchre manages public creches, basic schooling, spiritual ceremonies, and religious doctrine. See Religion for more in-depth details on the faith.
Splintering
Sepulchre is the sole authority that owns the concept of splintering, perhaps the single most important thing in society. Splintering is immortality. When someone dies in Deshret, Sepulchre can bring them back. The process is called splintering because it is said that the soul is splintered into fragments each time you do it: and one shard is kept in reserve. This means that it is not a perfect process - each time you use your shard, bits and pieces are lost forever. The clergy are the only authority that can guide your soul shard back into your body, using a special rite taught by Saint Marrow.
The Inquisition and Tech Heresy
The Inquisitors are the military arm of the Sepulchre and how they enforce their main doctrine: that technology must be controlled. This is partly why each guild has their own respective charters and domain. The Sixers themselves as they move up the ranks are considered to have been following in the steps of their patron Saint, and thus afforded the privileges of more dangerous technology. This means that possessors of unlicensed relics, forbidden wetware, or unvetted old-world machinery outside of this structure face inquisitorial purge.
Relationships with Other Organizations
Sepulchre maintains tense relations with Mythos over genetic experiments, and actively polices Outriders to seize unvetted surface relics before they enter city commerce.
