Right now, I often have reason to filter out system messages such as bulky handset menus while I'm RPing, but then I also don't see texts I receive, sm messages, LOOC messages, or other things I'm sure I can't think of at the moment. I think sm messages and texts should be moved to 'comms' (what does the comms filter do right now anyway?) and LOOC should be moved to a new OOC filter, along with other OOC channels.

Agreed, apart from the LOOC.
Then, folk might be missing important things, especially when folk are facing mechanically ambiguous tasks.
That's exactly why it shouldn't get filtered out along with system messages, while it currently does.
