Just figured I'd throw this suggestion here; A command that would show what bodyparts are currently covered by what you're wearing.

e.g you'd type @coverage, and you had a tank top, jeans and shoes on. It would show something like: Your current clothes cover your torso, abdomen, back, feet, calves, thigh, groin, butt nakeds.

Just a small little QoL change (to me). I know you can look at yourself or look at the @naked for coverage, but the latter only works if it's described, and the former is just a bit annoying to parse if all I'm trying to figure out is how covered up in clothes I am.

It should also explicitly say what is exposed, since that's typically what this command will be useful for. Such as,
Your current clothes cover x, y, z.
Your a, b, c are exposed.

A counterpoint proposed on Discord to this idea is that filling out @naked descriptions would solve this for the wearer and for other players.

I would counter that, instead, players should start with a tiny, default sentence to fill each naked that makes it easier for them to then edit as they please.

Edit 1: Something like, "$P shoulders are plain and unassuming."

Edit 2: Maybe not "instead of" but "in addition to"?

If having exposed body parts can be dangerous or detrimental, such as... I don't know... for radiation exposure or armor coverage, then I think some sort of @coverage command really ought to exist. If not, it would still be nice to have.

I don't really agree with filling out all your slots just so you can see what's exposed, or spawning in with every slot containing a generic message. I don't want to skim through tides of meaningless fluff such as "They have normal hands." and "These are knees." It also kind of contradicts the spirit of telling people they don't have to fill out all of their slots, imo.

This functionality already exists for individual clothing pieces. Tailor [garment] shows coverage.

Sure. But the request is for a single command that shows all your covered and uncovered locations. Going through the tailor menu for every piece of clothing you're wearing, compiling all covered locations, and comparing against the remaining locations is even less convenient than filling out every naked slot with a fluff line and looking at yourself.

Argument in favor: @coverage would be an easy way to see what nakeds you are missing if you do wish to be fully described.

EDIT: Can anyone think of a way to accomplish this ICly? Like... an exposure check function that comes back with:

Your butt, left calf, and right eye are exposed for all to see.
Your left hand, right hand, and tail do not have any impact protection.
Your head does not have any radiation protection.

That might be too much, but just brainstorming. Something that is a bit more narrative and represents your character checking themselves over rather than just dumping a list of body parts.

If you strongly need it to involve an IC action I think you could make it require a mirror, but I think that no action should need to be paired with this. Just by having proprioception, I can tell you right now what parts of my body are exposed and which are covered by clothes, right?
